Citizenship is the chance to make a difference to the place where you belong

Our intent at Bridge Academy West is to provide students with knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare them to play a full and active part in society. In year 10 students can take Citizenship as an GCSE option. Students will have an opportunity to develop their understanding of democracy, government and how laws are made and upheld. Students will develop skills and knowledge to explore political and social issues critically, to weigh evidence, debate and make reasoned arguments.
