Inclusion
Bridge Academy embraces restorative approaches to support the maintenance and repairing of relationships and actively promotes a trauma informed therapeutic approach. The quality of a student’s relationship with significant adults is vital to their healthy development and emotional health and wellbeing and this ethos can be found across the Academy and Trust.
We believe that all students are individual however their needs arise through a combination of factors related to social, emotional, mental health or medical issues. By addressing these issues and creating a community with clear expectations and consistently applied approaches we can help the students in our care reach their full potential. We must prepare the students well for the challenges of living in the wider community once they leave the support of the Academy.
